Here is my amazing production designer, Dr. Andrea Choe, piecing together the cat in VICTOR. I sketch it. She makes it!

So I live with this monster named JULES. He’s nutz! He’s suicidal. He made it into the film.

Over the past 12 years I’ve worked with my friend JM on project after project and finally….TWINSHIPS! Twinships is a production company that he and I started in the winter of 2011 and we’re now gearing up for our first short film together titled ONE LAST RUN.  LET MAKE ART!!!

THE ART OF NICHOLAS COPE

Finally, after saving up the funds, I was able to purchase the first pieces of art that will caress the walls of my home gallery. These are the works of photographer Nicholas Cope.

Like my coffee, his art is dark and beautiful with a palette that makes you want to play a Philip Glass score while taking them in.

VICTOR!!!

Ok, so ONE LAST RUN was suppose to me by next short film, yes I know. But while I was in the fundraising process, I figured why not shoot something that wouldn’t take much to produce. So with that idea in my head, VICTOR came to life. On paper or should I say the computer screen. Either way, it had legs. Now, only a week away from principle photography, I am happy to say VICTOR is on its way. More details to come.

I won’t say much more but will leave you with a shot of the boards….

UP NEXT: ONE LAST RUN!!

So I’ve been laying low on the music videos and focusing entirely on my next shorts and the feature film that I’ve been writing. As director/writers, when someone ask “What have you been up to?”, the immediate and probably programmed response is most likely, “WRITING.” But we’re always in the process of writing something, so yes, in this case, thats what I’ve been up to.

Well when its “EXCLUSIVE“, thats when you know its supreme status. More like STADIUM STATUS!! This is the lead single off Quik’s new album THE BOOK OF DAVID and there’s not much I can say about it except its pure HEAT! I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with the LA legend and I hope this leads to us working together again. Our art isn’t complete yet!!

I’ll be posting the video to the site soon, but since REDBULL has exclusive privileges, I’ll leave you with a link to the redbull post!! I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to let me know your thoughts!

A THROWBACK – NEW JACK HUSTLE

Here’s an oldie but goodie from when I formed like Voltron with the kid Evan Guidera. This is NEW JACK HUSTLE. The combination of Shawn Jackson and Newman(Giant Panda), a unlikely pair, who brought something pretty special together for their album SOUND CHECK. Shot in the spring of 08, this work was about creating the same high energy visually, as what is being given musically. Honestly, we were just going ape shit! A little Fresh Prince of Bel Air in there as well. Enjoy.

TEAM SIZZLE WORLDWIDE goes to CANNES!

Posted: April 14th, 2011 | Author: Hilton | Filed under: Film | No Comments »

So back in February I had the pleasure of working with Team Sizzle Worldwide for the first time and was the Director of Photography for their latest short film, When Beautiful People Do Ugly Things. Production took about 6 days and nights and was filmed in my hometown, Baltimore, MD. Director/Writer Monica Mingo and Executive Producer/Writer, Terrell Suggs, really did an amazing job at pulling together a workhorse crew and fresh talent to make this film everything it is. Now, not only a month later, WBPDUT has been accepted into the Short Film Corner at The Cannes International Film Festival! What an amazing way to start the journey. Congrats Team Sizzle and all that were involved.
